I learned that a home -and a life- is shaped by the quiet things. The way light falls across a room. The way a chair feels after you finally place it where it always belonged. The way a cup of tea warms your hands before it ever reaches your mouth.
Moss & Marble is my place to gather those quiet things. It’s a journal of what I’ve learned along the way-through home projects, crafting, rearranging, restoring, making, noticing, and living. It’s a space where the organic softness of moss meets the sculptural strength of marble, and where both have something to teach.
Why Moss & Marble: Moss is the downstairs whimsy -the soft, playful, nature-rooted part of my world. Marble is the upstairs calm -the refined, grounded, grown-up part. Together, they make a home that feels lived-in and intentional. Together, they make a philosophy.
Moss & Marble is about: Learning from the small things. Honoring the sentimental things. Refining the beautiful things. Letting your space tell your stories. And finding meaning in the everyday. It’s not a blog about perfection. It’s a blog about presence.
What you’ll find here. You’ll see posts shaped about curiosity and craft. The kind that begins with “I learned that…” and end with a quiet truth.
Stories about: Rearranging a room until it finally exhales. Making soap and watching it cure into something useful. Brewing barley tea and discovering calm in the process. Restoring heirlooms and honoring the hands that came before. Choosing colors that feel like home. Creating spaces that feel like you. And always, the thread running through it all: What I learned along the way.
Moss softens the step
Marble holds the weight of days
Home becomes a guide
If you’re here, you’re invited into the quiet parts of my life -the ones shaped by craft, nature, memory and the slow unfolding of understanding. Moss & Marble is a place to pause, to notice, and to learn alongside me.
And that’s what I learned along the way.
